  • As a Social Media Lead at Near Creative, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Social Media team, guiding strategy, execution, and optimization across all client accounts. You’ll be responsible for managing a team of social media strategists, junior social media managers, and junior graphic and production managers, while also driving the development of best-in-class processes and ensuring the highest standards of quality across all social deliverables.

    You will also assist the Client Operations Director in recommending process optimizations, constantly upgrading content creativity & effectiveness via team upskilling and other coaching/mentoring efforts, and maximizing the value add of the Social Media team to the larger business.

    This is a leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and has a strong grasp of the evolving social landscape.

    • Team Management

      • Lead and manage the social media team, including hiring, mentoring, and performance reviews

      • Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement

      • Oversee team capacity and resource planning to ensure smooth delivery of client work

    • Strategy & Execution

      • Be the primary in-house social media expert by staying ahead of industry and platform trends, algorithm changes, and emerging technologies, while simultaneously keeping abreast of and immersing in social media audience behaviors and culture, and further refining social media strategies and execution best practices–ensuring all content is both creative and effective. 

      • Ensure strategy and creative execution are aligned with the client's business objectives and campaign brief, and that all aspects of social media deliverables are of consistently high quality and alignment across all accounts.

      • Be the first PIC for social media-related escalations from the Social Media team.

      • Establish and implement standards in developing and refining social media strategies tailored to client objectives across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, etc.)

      • Ensure strategic, operational, and functional alignment between organic content, paid strategies, and influencer activations for all campaigns

    • Process Optimization

      • Help in creating and implementing scalable workflows for planning, approvals, publishing, and reporting

      • Constantly align and strategically collaborate with Senior Account Managers to ensure overall process efficiency and timely delivery, alignment of all strategies and deliverables with client expectations, and data-backed proof of creative effectiveness across all campaigns and executions.

      • Collaborate with creative and influencer teams to ensure seamless cross-functional processes

      • Evaluate and recommend tools and platforms that enhance team efficiency and performance

    • Quality Control

      • Review and approve social content, calendars, and reports to ensure brand voice, quality, and accuracy

      • Establish and maintain standards for content creation, community management, and reporting

      • Audit and refine client deliverables to uphold agency excellence and results

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.

    Experience:

    • 5–7 years of experience in social media marketing, with at least 2 years in a management role

    • In-depth experience with and expertise in utilizing social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn)

    • Expertise in  understanding of social media ecosystem strategy, messaging and content planning, scheduling tools, and social media analytics.

    • Proven track record developing and executing successful social media campaigns

    • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills

    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work

    • Passion for digital culture, creators, and brand storytelling

    • Experience in a fast-paced agency environment is a strong plus

    • Experience with community management and social listening is a plus.

    Skills:

    • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with keen attention to detail.

    • Basic knowledge of content creation, including copywriting and visual storytelling.

    • Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and social media scheduling tools like Meta Business Suite, or Sprout Social.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    • Can create and implement scalable, efficient workflows for content planning, publishing, approval, and reporting across client accounts.

    • Can confidently collaborate across Strategy, Creative, and Account teams to ensure seamless integration of all social media efforts.
