How Shopee added excitement to beauty and fashion hauls with influencers

Shopee offers new ways to shop

Already a trusted name in e-commerce in the Philippines, Shopee has worked its way towards becoming one of the most recognizable in today’s active social media landscape. However, not everyone knew about and maximized their latest features that make shopping a more seamless experience for users.

The brand then sought to boost awareness of its Shopee Beauty and Shopee Styles categories. Its goal was to communicate Shopee Beauty and Styles’ variety of irresistible deals and promotions for each month.

Near adds KOL expertise to Shopee’s trendy themes

Shopee provided specific directives for each month of the Shopee Styles campaign, which included both trending events related to fashion and evergreen style topics. Near’s role was to closely collaborate with KOLs to ensure that executions remained consistent with the monthly themes and, of course, resonated with Shopee’s audience.

Near handpicked KOLs who could draw inspiration from relevant and talkable themes at specific points of the year such as holiday looks for December, Taylor Swift eras in April, and Bridgerton-inspired outfits in June. KOLs were encouraged to get creative with their outfit choices for executions that expressed their unique styles.

Shopee tapped Near to mount a seven-month influencer campaign on Instagram and TikTok to showcase the various brands on Shopee Beauty and Shopee Styles. The team tapped a total of 98 key opinion leaders (KOLs) across the beauty, fashion, and lifestyle niches to bring this campaign to life.
